Tournament A (over 2000 elo) 5 days

(final rankings of the 20th open)
Players rated between 2000 and 2050 elo can choose between A or B tournaments.
Many Masters and Grandmasters will be participating, making IM and GM norms possible.
9 rounds with a time control of 90 min + 30 sec per move for each player.
First prize : 2000 euros + many other prizes for general ranking, best females, youngsters, veterans, by elo categories… (your presence will be compulsory at the prize ceremony in order for you to take your prize)
26th of December : All players must come to the playing hall before 12 to confirm their presence to the arbiters. The 1st round will begin right after that.
Round 2 will start around 17.30
27th-29th of December : 2 rounds every day, at 10.00 then 16.00
30th of December : round 9 will start at 9.30 and the prize ceremony around 15.30

Tournament B (from 1600 to 2050 elo) 5 days

(final rankings of the 20th open)
Players rated between 1600 and 1650 can choose between B and C tournaments.
9 rounds with a time control of 90 min + 30 sec per move for each player.
First prize : 600 euros + many other prizes for general ranking, best females, youngsters,veterans, by elo… (your presence will be compulsory at the prize ceremony in order for you to take your prize)
26th of December : All players must come to the playing hall before 12 to confirm their presence to the arbiters. The 1st round will begin right after that.
Round 2 will start around 17.30
27th-29th of December : 2 rounds every day, at 10.00 then 16.00
30th of December : round 9 will start at 9.30 and the prize ceremony around 15.30

Tournament C (under 1650 elo) 3 days

(final rankings of the 20th open)
From 28th to 30th of December, 8 rounds with a time control of 50min+10sec/per move
First prize : 250 euros + many other prizes for general ranking, best females, youngsters, veterans, by elo categories… (your presence will be compulsory at the prize ceremony in order for you to take your prize).
28th of December : All players must come to the playing hall before 12 to confirm their presence to the arbiters. The 1st round will begin right after that. Round 2 at 15.00, round 3 at 17.30
29th of December : round 4 at 10.30, round 5 at 14.00, round 6 at 16.30
30th of December : round 7 at 9.30, round 8 at 12.00 and the prize ceremony around 15.30

Tournament D (Discovery of a chess competition ) 1 day

(final rankings of the 20th open)
Only on Monday 30th of December, from 10.00 to 13.00.
For beginners only, kids and adults, non-rated.
Come to take part and feel the vibes of a top international tournament, while playing your first chess competition with other beginners
Free registration at 10 at the venue, then 6 games with a time control of 15 minutes for each player.
Prize ceremony around 15.30 like other tournaments.

Regulations

Tournaments A,B and C are FIDE rated.

Fighting rule : draws by mutual agreement are forbidden.

2 BYE possibles : one player of tournament A or B or C can leave the tournament two times without being paired but with scoring a half-point. Obligation to inform the arbiter during the previous round. Impossible in the 3 last rounds.

Please note that any electronic device (phone, connected watch, computer, Bluetooth headphones, etc.) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED at the playing hall. Players are therefore strongly advised to leave these devices at home, hotel or car. For the players coming despite the measures above with a phone: a box (not closed and not supervised and for which the organization declines all responsibility) will be present at the entrance of the playing hall to drop it off. And a non-free storage system will be available at the buffet.

As every year, the best performances will be rewarded for every round.

The famous “vandop” kitchen is open all day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.!

Dish of the day by chef Thibaut and chef Jean, paninis, croque-monsieurs, Lorraine patés, quiches, sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, cakes, draft beers, coffee, tea, and other drinks …

And also the breakfast each morning at the venue from 9 am.
